Vodafone McLaren MP4-27 Mercedes

I think we are in for a surprise.

Any ideas on the notch on top of the radiator?

Image
The second part of the radiator is actually just a plate to stop radiator flow going down below. It's not the radiator itself.

This image should help explain, it also shows the cutout for the tunnel was always there for the undercut.

What are the two holes inboard of the mirrors about?

They give access to the pedals.

The engine cover looks to me that it has a totally different shape. Or I am expecting to see the update very bad and I am hallucinating.

I didn't say that, though.

I have to admit, when I first saw it, I saw it coming towards the camera again too.[/quote]

I was thinking it looks like a little wing, but wanted to hold off for a better explanation before embarassing myself...

But I'm still struggling to comprehend what I'm seeing; for example, what's obscuring the Mobile logo?

Sorry, I was taking the rise out of n_smickle.

According to his contact we were supposed to see evidence of this upgrade at the last race and to be a raised nose. The pictures coming out today show that to be hogwash.

A small section of the engine cover is, it slots into the gap in the engine cover seen behind the side pod.

To me it just looks like it's part of the engine cover. I don't think it's a wing or anything, it's just contoured to fit onto the engine cover. You can tell in the picture where it's covering the Mobil logo where it fits.

Could that appendage that sticks up from the top of the side pod actually just be the bit that bolts on to the back of the sidepod to form part of the ramp just being stored there temporarily? In fact I'm pretty sure it isn't staying there because if you zoom in there are a couple of screw holes on the bit that is obscuring the mobil logo.
