LEC did multiple laps before his best time in fp1 and did also multiple laps in fp2, all within few tenths, so it’s not as simple as they are pushing the car more. LEC may be driving more extreme than others is more likely.

The PU here matters much less. The car is looking decent is the only real explanation.

We have a very small chance.
We need everything to go perfect, specifically making Q3 first.
Then:
- A perfect lap
- At least small mistakes from McL/ RB
Looks like you have a great chance. Monaco is a different sport entirely, there's no point comparing to previous races unless it's also Monaco. The Ferrari looks the most compliant car and the pace is coming easy compared to the rest.

Charles is going to stick it on pole again jsnt he? Im baffled how good the car looks here. Maybe its because everyone has to raise their car and that suits the ferrari.
I agree max is going to find more tomorrow as always. Merc looks surprisingly poor though.

Staying calm is definitely right. I’m not sure about the low power claim or why Ferrari would go higher than others when they don’t usually (McLaren have been showing their hand more in FP2 compared to others this season) but will await the data to prove me wrong.

But nothing’s won on a Friday. All we know is it’s not as bad as expected/feared and that there’s all to play for. Some cautious optimism seems ok though, and that makes a change!

Fred__18 saying theyre "like one click higher" and doesnt think it makes that much of a difference, im guessing at least to Mclaren

It scares me to see the drivers so happy and hopeful... it means if something goes wrong tomorrow it'll hurt even more...

Generally when Ferrari can put in constant good times in they're good on Saturdays, when it is the sporadic odd fast lap we struggle on Saturday. Except for the second half of FP1 with Lewis, we've been towards the top with both cars. I can't imagine McLaren hiding too much pace with Piastri trying gard enough to bash a front wing.

Hopefully a good Saturday incoming.
