Deservedly so. Alonso was alongside him into Lowe's hairpin, and Hulk drove like a kamikaze into the corner. It allowed Perez to pass.

This. People have the memory of a goldfish and are trying to compare this car to the rest of the teams that have brought large upgrade packages since the start of the season.

Really ? Why don't we take a trip down memory lane and bring back images of the 'grand gala' where Newey was paraded like a movie star at a hollywood film launch. How pathetic does that seem now ?

I do not know what a big press release for Newey's arrival has anything to do with a B-spec car being strategically withheld until the Honda upgrade.

My understanding is that part of the engine upgrades from Honda is new engine mounts, the permanent vibration fix, that might require slight chassis mods. That might make new parts incompatible with the current config. That is my guess.

I would assume that too. If it is going to be a B-spec car, let it truly be a B-spec car so that they have some idea on development for 2027.

Good Pic. For those of you not sure what you're looking at in that picture. Notice that all lights are red, so nobody should have moved. Look at the yellow line in comparison to Alonso's car, it's in line with the front tires. You'll notice that Perez has gone past his yellow line by about a meter.

The yellow line is just a guide for the driver, the real line is the white one in front of the tire (under the left mirror), which he is well ahead of in that pic.
