Do the FiA need to improve mirror and forward visibility standards?

Do not touch it, the rules are strict enough

That's what I thought initially; but how much so? For example if (knock on wood) we had a repeat of Hungary 2009; would the visor still pop off like it did?

Not sure if it will pop of as I am not sure if the mountings of the visor have been improved but it will reduce the chances of penetration...

Btw...if there is a repeat of 2009 maybe this time it will knock some sense into Massa..
Generally I don't care about what people say. I have to be clear with myself. When everything goes well, people celebrate you, when you make mistakes people criticize you.

That can't really be an eye-level video! Look at the view of in the mirrors...all you see is the rear tire. If that's really what they see, no wonder the drivers are complaining about not being able to see anyone alongside them.

The one posted by Fil on page 3 of this thread...see 1:10 for instance. Maybe that really is all they can see. If that's true, then I can understand along with all the other distractions of driving why it is difficult sometimes to know exactly where others are at.

That's just how they've been adjusted. Lots of reasons why a driver might do that, monitoring rear tyre wear for example. Schumacher used to have one mirror mounted higher than the other specifically see over the bodywork down towards the rear tyre so he could see the state of his tyres.

You would always want to be able to see the rear tyre in the mirror, it's the drivers only reference point to help him gauge depth.

Actually; Anthony Davidson; who is in charge of the "driver experience" portion of the game says that the game is set to be a bit higher than reality; for the better visibility; so that the game can be more fun (rather than struggling to sight apexes etc)

Lets not forget how tall Ant is - this may mean the view is at an exact realistic height for someone like Alex Wurz.

Also, I find it very hard to believe Hamilton couldn't see Massa in his mirrors. If he knew he had the track to himself he would have gotten further to the left for the entrance to the Casio, but he keeps himself almost a full car width away; this only makes sense if he knew a car was there and he was trying to pin Massa in the corner.
