That is why it's believed that JPM would join Renault...because Telefonica wants to use him as well-known face in South-America to increase there profits there :wink:

F1 seems to be all about advertising nowadays.

I look back at pics of Clark in the Lotus, and the first thing that hits you is the absence of sponsors.

Still, sponsors are F1, without them it would not be. Unfortunetly they've used this to their full advantage, like with JPM.

As a South-American I can say that JPM is not the best face to increase Telefonica's profits there. Since its biggest markets in SA are Brasil and Argentina (and Chile), it’s like saying that Renault should have a Danish pilot to increase its profits in Belgium.

And, in my opinion, Renault would not pay to have a pilot like JPM when they can have a younger and cheaper pilot who can do the same job.
