The engine looks atrocious. The only hope we have is the new revision is much better than the current one.

The upgrades look quite good actually, big performance uplift and still there are gains to be made from setup, but the engine issue looks too big to overcome. Whatever aero work the team brings it will be quite useless if Honda does not improve.

And vibrations are back again...
You realize this is a fault of the chassis. Not the PU. The PU still has it's counter-measures.
It's quite useless to gather data for the team if one car can't run. Whatever PU upgrades Honda brings is useless if the car falls apart or the gearbox shudders to death.

Perhaps they need to send the car to Sakura and have Honda look at it again.
I'm not sure it's the same kind of vibration as before. It's very audible in 7th gear near the top end of the rev range. You don't really notice it before that.

The bad part, the *really* bad part is that it seems the vibrations back; there are even reports that Alonso let go of the steering wheel on a few occasions, just like at the start of the season. We’ve seen this movie before.
he was letting go to rearrange himself in the seat, not for vibrations as far as i could tell (unless the engine vibrations were causing him to slide down). he kept reaching down to push himself back in the seat. seems like a few drivers are having problems with their seating positions this year.

Chassis showing lots of signs of promise, and the car is still overweight.

Apparently they reverted alonso rear suspension after strolls incident. Does that mean to old spec or do you think they were testing something

While Aston made changes to the rear suspension, team chief Adrian Newey suggested the failed part was not one of Aston's upgraded components.
They said that the suspension piece that failed was not a new spec part, but I don't blame Newey for wanting to change some parts after that Stroll failure considering Senna 94 etc.
