If people are still saying Nico didn't try to run Lewis off the road: https://twitter.com/portalhamilton/stat ... 6376665088

(As the video shows, Lewis didn't turn in on Nico. He was ahead and Nico refused to turn into the corner and was attempting to take Lewis out. Even if he did have BBW issues he still should have made an effort to make the corner. The FIA need to come down hard on him. Just like they did Schumacher in 1997.)

Plus lets have it right, this would unlikely have occurred had Rosberg not hit the curb, maybe he was upset with himself for making the error and thought no way am i giving up this race lead...Personally i think it was naughty/reckless, but lets move on to the next race!

Totally different in this case...

Really? Mercedes are slowly giving themselves a very bad name. The only reason they could have given Lewis such old tyres when he had new ones would have been to compromise his stint and create an unfair result.

In my opinion, we have a team whose cars are so superior to the rest of the field that they now treat other teams and F1 as a whole with contempt. The FIA needs to step in strongly to equalise performance before Mercedes ability to get away with anything begins to compromise F1 similar to drugs and cycling. Jean Todt is far too weak.

Right - that was into a wall, not another driver. It's much more serious when they're actively putting another driver in danger right there.

Some points about Nico:
1. He makes mistakes under pressure
2. He makes mistakes under pressure
3. He makes mistakes under pressure
4. He is ruthless when pushed.

I liked Nico when he and Lewis first teamed up, cheered for both and even thought he might be as good as Lewis. No more. Lewis may not have been the best driver at the track but he was by far the best driver on his team.
I am beginning to wonder if one of Nico's demands in contract negotiations is a world driver championship.

10 second penalty for Rosberg and a reprimand.

If it was up to me I would ban Nico one race. Luckily for Rosberg it is not up to me :)

He intentionally did cause a crush and attempted a second one when Lewis was returning to the circuit.

That hits the nail on the head. Well said.

That would be a huge windfall for Lewis, he could stockpile engines and take all the penalties in one race, like McLaren last year and essentially reset the championship.
Personally I don't believe a race ban (it's not good for the championship), but if Nicko gets a huge penalty will be DSQ from Austria.

It's not official yet but the first word in the press room is that Nico Rosberg has been given a reprimand for finishing the race with a damaged car but a ten-second timed penalty for causing the crash with Hamilton.

Even with a 10 sec penalty, Ricciardo finished over 10 sec behind so it would be a pointless "punishment".

Lucky for Manor too; they'd loose their point scorer.

You must have forgot about Pastor Maldonados inclusion in F1 for the past few years
He was banned from Monaco even before he drove Lewis in the wall after the finish...

But... There are ways to get out of a life time ban, without dying.
