They couldn't win one on pace last year. They'd be lucky to win more than one this year.
They didn't win when the car had the pace, but won when it didn't. Funny how it turned out.

So you are wrong, they had winning pace
lotus was unexperienced team last season, they didnt expect fight on top, when they had winning pace, bad strategies
and some experienced moves costed them. Teams who had worse car then Lotus with their strategic options outwitted lotus on track, and with that it seemed lotus will never catch victory.

but when lotus begun making good strategy moves, even with the car who began to lag in devolopment, they catch a victory, that was sign lotus learned how to fight on top.

I wouldn't call the Enstone squad inexperienced.

couple of years past from this team golden days when they fighted for championship, people change on positions, am sure
they learned trough this year how to react in every moment to seize opportunity for their own advantage.
ferrari can be example of this, even when they didnt have top car their strategic moves placed alonso in fight for title,
you cant say Lotus did that to Kimi.
For me Kimi need to had 3 victories this season, Bahrein, Barcelona and Abu Dhabi. Also situation in Australia for bad
timing in qualy costed them another podium, if you compare that Grosjean was high placed in qualy.
That is not how experience team work.

People don't give the Ferrari enough credit as a good race car. It was hard to drive but Alonso made it happen. The car had pretty good race pace the last few seasons. I don't know how much better Lotus could have finished with different strategy. Their qualification pace hurt them most.

I consider that a plus for Lotus. I really like it how their team is coming together.

I don't like Henri-Lloyd clothing. My BrawnGP shirt didn't hold up worth a sh!t. The color faded after a few washes. I guess Mercedes lost them?

I do however love the Lotus hat and shirt I picked up at the Austin GP. The guys there said they sold more Lotus merchandise there than they had anywhere all season. Lots of Kimi fans for sure.

Indeed. I ran into the news in Linkedin, in fact, and I spotted it around Twitter. Lotus team (or at least the person managing their online activities) did not know about it. Seems like Ciaron Pilbeam joined Lotus after all, as Simon Rennie moves to Red Bull.

I hope for that not to happen.
