If he is that quick on hards compared to everyone else on softs then he's going to walk qualifying and the race.

I meant his fastest time. Abnormal to see time set on hardest compound up there.

It sure is abnormal. It's not like other drivers were running full tanks on softest compound.

I noticed it, Sainz's car like a bouncy castle, Charles was pretty smooth.

Looking at the replay, it looks like Max was on the hards when he set his fastest time pretty early in the session just before the red flag. A few laps earlier he was definitely on the hards don't think he pitted in that time to change tyres. But not absolute on that either.

I think so too, tried different setups on both cars to see how low they can go.

His fastest lap came early in the day on hards, later he set purple S1 on softs but aborted the lap.
