Great result! Let’s hope the upgrades are a reasonable step forward and not backwards as it was in Spa. I wonder how can we get good tire management? Seems like a tough ask..

Mclaren demonstrated its massive advantage in tyre degradation due to the aero within the brake hub. let's see if James Allison studied a lot on how the Mclaren's manages it's tyres and see how it will be implemented for Imola as well as other major mechanical updates.

But great tyre management improvement from George, that's what I wanted to see. He will become a major threat to both Mclaren's if he keeps this up.
No offense, but I think Mclaren is doing something dubious with the tyre management. I don’t think it’s just aero related..

I think Russell had a great recovery and it shows why he is still the lead driver by a good margin despite the noise around Antonelli. Antonelli is very good for his age, but Russell is no doubt one of the only drivers who can challenge McLaren right now.

When does Mercedes's next package come? I hope we can see Russell fighting right at the front soon. I bet he would do much better than Norris. Do we know how big their next upgrades will be? Sorry if this is obvious, I don't follow Mercedes very closely.

Red Bull thinks that it is not enough to keep those temps that low. They installed infra red cams and saw lots of blue spots around the brake area and suspect that air is not enough to cool the tires to that degree. They asked the FIA to check it out.

I'm not sure what they're up to.

But if there's a suggestion that they're running coolant or something through the wheel hub assembly, surely that would be a slam dunk DSQ and exclusion from previous races.

I can't see why they would risk it as as far as I know, there is no loophole for that.

Idk if they can, but I’d love to be proven wrong!

They say Russell was not feeling well and had to miss the press-conference. He developed bad stomach cramps during the last 10 laps of the race. I'd also develop bad stomach cramps if I was left out on old mediums being hunted by #1...

He did a good job making it to the finish.

Mercedes looks very hard on their tires this weekend. That is my observation. Antonelli struggled quite a bit in the sprint race and he is usually very metronomic and consistent with the tires. They also had absolutely zero pace on the used tire runs in qualy which suggest they are taking a lot out of the tires.
So expect George to really struggle on his fronts and Kimi maintaining his pace through the race but struggling with rear in management.

I'm being realistic
How are your predictions going? So far not a single one has come to fruition.
