How would you rate Webbers driving?

Webber hasn't impressed me at all this season. He seems resigned to Vettel winning the championship and there doesn't seem any fight in him.He's complained enough (very publicly too)that he is treated as a no. 2 driver, yet maybe he should stop and think of the reason why and that he's just not good enough to be a no.1 driver.
He is the one driver who has the equipment to challenge Vettel and stop him from walking away with the championship, yet many races he battles to even finish on the podium. His 18th in qualifying at one stage was unforgivable and I wondered how that was possible in a mighty RB7.
Schumacher has been accused of underperforming since his comeback and even Sutil recently but Webber is truly the greatest underperformer of all and more of the focus should be placed on him.
Everyone is looking to Hamilton and Alonso to challenge Vettel, while Webber wastes the the opportunity in the best equipment.
I really see him as an average to below average driver and think that he is more deserved of a place in a team such as Virgin rather than Red Bull.

In his early days Webber was considered as a possible future champion, and he has done well for himself, despite being unlucky with team choices before Red Bull got good. He's never really been comfortable at Red Bull, and has permanantly been the number 2 driver since he's been there. The team mistreat him, and Mark just takes it. After last year I expect he's gutted, but I hope that he wins the WDC this year, no matter how unlikely it is.

Why, why do these threads keep popping up?! What attracts someone to F1technical to then talk only about driver A is good or driver Z zucks? Why? Why!!!

And I don't get why someone who says he hates threads like this so much, opens it up, reads all the comments and then posts a reply. Why? cos it's a bit of fun and it's interesting to hear peoples opinions on how a driver is performing in F1. Don't take it so seriously.

Reason is Tyler, these kind of threads at the very least are frowned upon, as this is a technical site, and this thread is unrelated to technical aspects. We as armchair experts are not going to find the 3-7 10ths of a second Webber needs to out qualify Vettel for him.

Thes kinds of threads _always_ turn into mud slinging matches and then next think you know, it's 'stupid this' and 'nazi that'.

Why wait until it regresses to that inevitable point?

I'll just lock this, then go on vacation. New York, here I come.

If you could not find a pre-existing Webber or Webber vs Vettel thread, I doubt you have looked very hard. If you can't find to bring this point forward, report the thread and ask to have it unlocked later.
