I think the favourite drivers are the ones who don't attract a high post count, we all like them so don't have endless circular threads arguing about them.

Anyway, nice to see Alsonso's "6 tents" era is still holding him ahead of Hamilton's "cos I is black". Meanwhile Vettel needs to be more divisive if he hopes to catch up!

That is likely also got to do with how long these drivers have been in F1.
We were for example already broadly discussing Alonso at a time when there was nothing to be seen of Sebastian Vettel

Apparently schumacher doesnt get mention alot in this forum despite being the oldest and most established WDC

I am guessing that Alonso's name must have gotten a boost during his short stint with Mclaren.

You also have to factor in the scale of forum membership, or number of total posts. So who's up for normalising the data as % of posts in each year?
