I don't think it is psychological warfare on Vettel. Alonso is too smart to underestimate Vettel's intelligence, the latter being able to see through such a superficial ploy. Plus Alonso said this about Vettel:
"I don't understand the criticisms about him, that he is not a real racer," He is a great champion about to win his second title and has remarkable qualities; a lot of speed. Yes he has the best car that gets a good place on the grid, but you need to be able to get the most out of it at every race and Sebastian does that very well. Even in difficult moments or when he makes a mistake, he is always fighting for the win. It is proof of his great qualities."
I bet that comment (first post) was from a question directed at Fred from a UK Journalist. Just as the one I posted was in reply to a question from a German journalist
I think that after 2007 things slowly started to mend, and after Lewis won his WDC it became ancient history for both of them. I suspect they get on quite well. At least as well as two competitors recognized as elite in their competition will, regardless of the way tabloids want to spin their animosity. JMHO
