Lotus Renault Prova ONU geniale correttore d'Assetto!
Nei prova di Abu Dhabi SI E Vista THIS Soluzione rivoluzionaria del Che e Stata Tenuta Nascosta
10 gennaio 2012 07:40
Kimi Raikkonen torna in Formula 1 DOPO dovuto Anni NEL Mondiale rally.

A Cosa servono?

Lotus Renault Test UN ingenious weighting of attitude!
In test in Abu Dhabi AND View THIS Solution of revolutionary Who was kept hidden
January 10, 2012 07:40 AM
Kimi Raikkonen back in Formula 1 AFTER due Years in the World rally championship. AND the World Champion in 2007 with the Ferrari That blights: accepts the challenge of the Lotus Renault-powered. A courageous choice, with a team of middle-ranking Which is fifth among the Builders 2011, and has not won Gp of the United Nations since 2008. And the United Nations Which team is changing skin with the Exit of Renault, which remains as a soloist are engineer and tries to revive with the greater involvement of the Lotus.
Yet one has to wonder come never come Kimi IS ONE ready one bet on That IS a lot difficult Very predicts?
Remember the much-discussed mass-damper system (the damper of vibrations on the train Earlier) of 2006 or discharges blowers went out in front of the bellies of radiators.
Now the Lotus-Renault is preparing another "what devilry. The technical Group that rotates around Alan Permane has developed an idea Very Interesting That was held Skillfully hidden. We Need To Go one Look in portamozzo to discover What It Is. Compared to other cars can be seen in the drawing at the bottom right ONE Strange serbatoietto hydraulic rod and United Nations On Other F. 1 there is. What are they? If You look at the design of Giorgio Piola higher you will notice that the Puntone de lla suspension push-rod and not fixed on attack on portamozzo, but has the United Nations can 'game' of a few millimetres. In essence the Lotus-Renault would be able to raise the front of the car During the delicate phase of braking, thus avoiding the wing that Can crawl around on the tarmac, guaranteeing the f. 1 Ideal HEIGHT from the ground to ensure maximum Aerodynamic stability in A crucial area of the car That affect Load and efficiency of the rest.
Enstone, therefore, sue by putting a Point weighting UN Planning that it would be perfectly legal because it will not work with the United Nations Electronic Control (absolutely forbidden by the FIA), but it would be managed by the driver.
Easy and Thinking That THERE IS IN bodywork UN Integrated pump one That the slicer braking or of Them That functions in parallel.

More than one preserve The Pirelli Tires That would have subjected one Efforts significantly below, the single-seater, could maintain a height of Front wing stable, could Travel with Structures More glancing rays the asphalt, to generate UN more aerodynamic load. Not only, but also IN Acceleration Phase could prevent the lifting of the muzzle (Excursions with a degree than the braking phase). With discharges blowers That there were last year, the system would be very useful TO PRODUCE that trim beaten That Both HAD Done discuss last year Silla Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel. The hub port Shows UN design Very accurate, a sign that this is a solution in Time and not a gimmick: It is not easy and find space for new components. The idea must be daring important results because in the area of unsprung masses of a single-seater will search the Semper Maximum lightness, while in This case it would be UN appreciable increase in the number of masses. With THIS provision gets a good Passage of air streams from Under the front wing is not found IN Puntone UN aerodynamic locking in a particularly sensitive area of the single-seater, but there is also UN downside: approaching the levers Below one above, Grow The Efforts That act on them and cala the stiffness in the area of hub port. A Risk That MUST be well calculated, in the sense that the benefits that will have to be measured by weighting of Spatial Planning will be such as to offset any other defect. The Lotus-Renault and Ready one Play his Ace in the sleeve.
We will discover nia Jerez test From February 7 if THIS Innovation will wings one Raikkonen and if will be copied by other teams. The response to the track ...

So now all teams will race to get a similar system operative.

Good for Renault errr, Lotus. IMHO F1 needs more innovations that are visible or have a result visible to the fans. Kudos to J Allison and his tech team.

Its not "adjustable" ride height any more than a conventional spring is "adjustable" ride height.

So it seems they have a suspension set up that uses the deceleration force to push the car nose up or perhaps stiffen the suspension?

Should be titled "Self-adjusting ride height"

Surely any suspension results in "Self-adjusting ride height"?

"Constant ride height" suspension would be more appropriate

I really like the idea, new concepts are always interesting.
I wonder if the increase in unsprung weight at the front wheel can diminish or somewhat eliminate the gains made by such a system... Though i'm sure it has been looked toroughly by the team...

I'm very sceptical as to what the 'official' use for this system actually is.

Any thoughts on which the other "front-running" team with a similar device might be?

It seems to be pretty simple in essence. When break pressure is applied a part of the oil goes to a small cylinder which elongates the front suspension strut. Normally you would see the front dip under the dynamic force shift from breaking. This systems compensates the dip by making a strut longer.

MaCa or Mercedes would be at the top of the list, but for some reason I think it could possibly be Ferrari. Domenicali was already aware when questioned at WROOM and Piola could've certainly tipped them off months ago when he suspected they were using something clever.
Question is how large or small are the performance gains and/or is this something to get teams to focus on something different and develop it instead of focusing on the car.

Why does the article have the words "United Nations" littered through it? I was going to blame google translate, but it seems to be in the Italian too.

One wonders if it was sensible debuting this technology at the young drivers test? Anyway, Renault must be kicking themselves that it's come out now, imagine if they'd kept it quiet till the pre-season tests! Still, given the amount of time it seems to have been in development for perhaps it's not easy to tune the mechanism?

Could we be looking at Lotus having a Brawn GP year, with Kimi at the helm? What a prospect!

Oh, and Happy New Season, fellow F1technifans.

Could the system be using the force found at the caliper during braking. The caliper is not fixed to the hub in this case, but has a freedom of motion. This motion is being transfered to the suspension push-rod.

Is the additional larger part at the bottom of the illustration a hydraulic cylinder that is pushed by the caliper?

There would be no need for anything on the hub assembly if it wear simply all about brake line pressure.

This is a pleasant technical puzzle to start the day with.

Is this something similar to the pagani huayra front suspension that rises under braking.

The outcome might be the same, but how you get the that outcome is probably different. Someone designing without constants would use ECU data to determine what was required for a ride height setting. The Lotus system is a completely different approach based on very restrictive regulations.

Who noticed it and how?
Now everyone knows about it and will be copying it so they've lost a potential advantage for 2012.
Surely they should have taken more careful measures to keep it under wraps?! - I just can't understand how they managed to let the other teams get hold of their concept so quickly and easily.
And I was so hoping that somehow Kimi would have a car good enough to win
