I like to stand behind the top fuels & top alchies when they do a test fire right after the rebuild. You have to hold your ears closed for the nitros. It makes my eyes tear, my nose run, and the smell of burned and unburned fuel, what a rush! Maybe thats what's the matter with me

When I was 16 I used to buy vinyl records that consisted strictly of f1, endurance cars etc sounds. My friends and I would get together and turn up the volume.
I just couln't conceive of of a quiet f1, without that high pitched scream.
