HRT being sold?

Heard a rumor that the sale of HRT has been agreed, or it is being put up for sale?

Don't know who is the buyer or when/if this is happening?

Has anyone else heard this story, which I guess could have validity being as they are not exactly lighting up the Formula One world are they.........

Wouldn't be a surprise to be honest. Thesan Capital is a private equity firm. These firms look to recoup expenditure at the earlist opportunity.

I would be very very surprised if it is sold this year. Thesan need to get the team to a good standard before they sell them.

It really depends how much exposure Thsan Capital have in the Spanish Markets. The Banking Crisis means that raising capital from Banks will be extremely difficult. Selling the team may be sometning they deem necessary to raise capital and reduce losses. I'm only guessing however.

I haven't heard of any possible sale, but I suspect Thesan is likely to wait until there is agreement on a cost reduction within F1. Once that is written and signed by the teams, F1 participation for any company is going to be more interesting than it has been in the last 15 years, so they might get more money or more interested parties at that time. Currently I cannot see who could be interested, except another right businessman who is passionate about this sport.

Anyone who thinks HRT has a future has taken leave of their senses. In the current climate goodness knows how much it would be worth.
