New Mclaren Livery

Post

Mclaren have officially unveiled a new livery for testing before the 2006 season starts. It is all Orange, harking back to the days when the F1 & Can-Am cars from Mclaren (then still owned by Bruce Mclaren) ran in an all orange livery.

Its also similar to the livery used when the team switched from Marlboro to West sponsorship.

Well for God's and my own sake let's hope these cars don't make it to the grid. While the silver with red was wonderful, I find this incredibly ugly.

Anyway, with Vodafone as title sponsor in 2007, I wonder if they're going to paint their cars red, and if so, will they already do so in 2006 to not have it look too much like a titlesponsor-less year :?:

Well vodafone is only in a sponsorship deal from the beginning of 2007.
I don't think Ron Dennis will put a logo on his cars without filling up his wallet ;)

But if that is so, which sponsor will fill Mclaren's budget for 2006?

For a moment, I thought Eddie was back.

I agree with Tomba. This is just plain ugly.

Vodaphone still have ties with Ferrari untill the end of this season, there are probably issues still to settle with Ferrari before they can appear as a rival team's sponsor.

But I also read in F1 Racing about Intel.

On the colour, its..er...okay i guess lol. What i DO like about it is that we can see details of the car (such as the Zero-Keel) MUCH BETTER!!!

Anyone else notice how the zero-keel is actually like a twin-keel with two really tiny keels?

Yeah, but I doubted that perhaps this is a 2006 feature unseen on 2005 car?

umm, i didnt think of it like that. I was thinking that maybe this had been the case all of 2005...we just haddnt seen it clearly as that area of the Mclaren is coloured Black...until now.

But it IS an interim car, so you may well be right.
