Slip sensor lens

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

Slip sensor lens

Post

McLaren replaced the 'Slip sensor lens' yesterday. What type of slip would they be measuring and where might it be positioned?

Optical sensor, like here.

I'd assume they'd put one somewhere along the centerline of the car. Can measure body slip angle.
Grip is a four letter word. All opinions are my own and not those of current or previous employers.
