If the team knew there was a engine problem shuoldn't they have shut off the engine after he crossed the line and make him walk back to the pits? or would that be against regulations or rules?
But if it was something that they did not see happening sucks to be DC, he needs to prove he has the speed to continue for RBR next year, he seems like a good guy.

If the engine is shot, it's shot. It's illegal to retire a healthy car now after BAR did it last year when they were out of the points so that they could change their engines.
