Engine stopped completely I think. It sounded that way.

Hamilton FTW

and possibly first "real" win. Now that the order is reversed at Mercedes, i´m interested to see if Rosberg can stick with him tomorrow.

I have always wondered; what if we had a safety car in lap 10 to 15? Would the front runners pit? How slow can you drive in Monaco without becoming a target of someone overtaking you if you wanted to get to as many laps as possible?

I sense an all out...procession fest tomorrow. ](*,) :-({|=
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

It helps a lot when you have three opportunities in a row and every time the only competition is only one driver = your team-mate. "Hamilton driving away" again? I have a better question: can Rosberg win the start 8) ?

- At least predictions worked - Ricciardo close to Vettel, boring qualifying but that is what happens when you remove midfield and talent from competing and you have 4 RB chosen ones and some other questionable choices instead.

- Did Verstappen junior lose all his talent in two days and can headlines be erased backwards? No, "Verstappen shines in FP1" without the context stands but there's no "doesn't shine in FP2, FP3, and especially qualifying".
- More importantly will Perez get "new Senna" headlines? I doubt it. That's the level of coverage of formula 1,

- Raikkonen beyond awful, Williams surprisingly bad for a top three car, they can blame the tyres but it didn't affect anyone else.

The track temperature cooled down which hurt Ferrari but even with high track temp Merc still had 1-2 in their pockets.
Did Kimi run into traffic? He did not improve.

Agreed on both counts. Mercedes is always best at heating the tyres and higher temperatures would have helped everyone else, just not enough to change the order of the front three .

But I think Williams would have Q3 in warmer conditions.

You mean how many laps you could do here on soft tyres having a one stop strategy?
Or you mean how slow you must run in order to keep them as long as possible?
I don't think they could do more than 55-60 laps, so at least 18 laps, minimum ....
What do you think? Maybe Ferrari could go longer on SS due to their tyre wear, but tomorrow must be a lot hotter to play in their hands, isn't it?

Honestly: No. In contrary. The Achilles heel of the Ferrari and the particular strength of the Merc appears to be traction. Much more so than aero. And traction is paramount in Monaco. I was worrried Ferrari might struggle even worse.

Well you could say Vettel did a great job to get it up on the 2nd row, Kimi once again under performing.
