THE MOST breath taking run down to turn 1 on the F1 calendar.

It's a great track really, even if the elevation changes are artificial, at least they are there!

One of the best Tilke tracks (or in which he had a hand).

Yeah, CotA is definitely one of my favorite tracks of the year, if not my favorite. Epic elevation change. Really hyped up about this one! :)
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

My prediction is:

HAM ROS VET on the podium and hamilton taking the title. He's very strong around here and even when Rosberg looks quicker in quali, he pretty much always seems faster during the race.

erm, that's a view down to the straight going up into turn 1. the track goes up into turn 1, then down into turn 2.

imagine that epic elevation change the other way around: a steep run down to the finishline towards 'turn 1' in the distance.

What part of his statement do you think warrants that response?

I've been to Austin twice, so I'd like to here what exactly he thinks is artificial!

The elevation changes are man-made, they aren't natural and thus, are artificial.

Can we pop this into the races section, it's getting at my OCD for "a place for everything, and everything in it's place" haha.

I don't really see why it matters if an elevation change is naturally occurring or not - it's not like the track itself is not, ya know, man made! No naturally occurring asphalt! ;)

But anyway, cool track, very much a Mercedes circuit though for me and suspect Williams may get a podium. Interesting to see if Ferrari try the new engine with Kimi though.

True. At least someone was creative enough to lay down something interesting.

There have been two years where Lewis has done a dog's chase and overtook. In 2012, Lewis chasing Vettel lap after lap after lap where two drivers on top of their game showing the best that they could. A "Cucumber" (as Vettel had blasted Narain Karthikeyan in Malaysian GP same year) played a role in creating a very small obstacle to Vettel, which was just good enough for Lewis to overtake.
