You're right it was Autosport not Williams that was saying the new nose would be like the Mercs.

Not to engage in armchair aero(but doing it nonetheless), the underside of the nose is a lot more sculpted and that is a good thing.

If we didn't engage in armchair aero, this site would be extremely sparse.

And yes I also think the more rounded/sculpted nose would provide more consistent airflow over a range of yaw and pitch. I have an armchair too.

Also looks like the front wing dips down a bit after Y250 similar to the Mercedes. Whereas the old wing was flat.
