This is why I want McLaren out of this. People become content with mediocrity.

Well all know now for certain that McLaren isn't breaking from Honda. No matter how much you want the world to be flat, wishing it will not change it. It's round get over it and spare the rest of us.

So that basically backs up what I said. With the STR/Honda deal dead, there is no way FIA would allow Renault to give McLaren a PU.

McLaren made their bed, now the must lay in it through the long night.

I believe their best course is to simply wait out the dawn.

Honda and Mclaren are married until 2021(unless Honda lets them get out of contract with no penalties).

McLaren can only get out by buying out Honda(will not happen.....too much cash needed and FIA will not allow it unless Honda has another team).
or
RB and McLaren switch(RB will not do that until 2019 or when PU performance is fixed).

Stop pretending you've seen the contract and don't be so naive to think there won't be stipulations about performance in it.

They'll be partnered next year. It was made certain when Toro Rosso talks collapsed. That interview Hasegawa even said it was discussions with no formal talk occurring. FIA want Honda in F1. If McLaren cancel the contract it will remove Honda. Doesn't take a genius to figure out unless there's a second team for Honda to supply, their future is pretty much already written.

I guess we won't see spec 4 in Monza :(. Looks like it still needs some fixing before new solutions can be introduced.

Have ur constant whining made any change to the engine situation? Honda says they ain't gonna let Mclaren go, and contracts can't be as easily broken as Mclaren or you are suggesting. So let's take a breather and give ur fellow forum users some respite.

Looks like they are piggybacking extra engines to avoid future penalties...like w have seen last year.
"Problem" is just an excuse.

No, otherwise they would have stockpiled with a spec 3.6 not gone back to the spec 3.5 again

The team is practicing giving each other toes on the straight since the straight line speed is really bad. We are going to be sitting ducks if it doesn't rain.
