Caterham F1 2015 Car

This is a thread to discuss any details of the car which Caterham designed and were planning to run for the 2015 season, but was never built due to the team's collapse.

So here are a few official drawings, courtesy of owner Kevin Thomas:

Cooling package: it appears they were going to retain a similar design to 2014, with all coolers placed inside the sidepod. This is odd as it made the sidepods themselves very large.

Front suspension: they were planning to scrap the pull-rod arrangement used in 2014 for a more conventional push-rod setup. From the drawings it is not clear where the steering mechanism would have been placed.

This here is the clutch shaft design for the 2015 car.

Here in the background (behind the 2014 chassis mould) we can see what Mr. Thomas says is a very early pre-production mock-up of the 2015 car:

Interesting take on the nosecone shape. Like a combo of the Ferrari & RB designs of the era. The segmented FW endplates--unique to Caterham?

Well that's TMG so it's likely to be somewhere there. I imagine they rented the spine and all the instrumentation from Toyota so the model was probably destroyed to be used in other projects when Caterham went bust. Maybe some of the parts are being used by McLaren or Force India.

"Billet" -- I did not know F1 cars still use metal roll hoops! That is very interesting.
