good stuff. at least this mean no penalties next gp and gasly can show the much better pace to brendon. my question why didnt they put the new engine at qualify. damn honda think
its very fishy indeed , Norris saga + comparing the update to the old PU + given Hartley a needed boast
Here's another conspiracy theory for you. Red Bull were not sure of the gains from the new PU so they asked Honda to revert one of the engines back for quali

Because they didn't know what the problem was and they were out of time?

Fishy yet smart move from honda. They dont have big update for next 7 races so put 2 engines instead, another loophole of regulation.

Great news, it just makes sense. Now hopefully they'll put Gasly on the Hypersoft tires to start with so that he'll get past both Williams and Saubers as soon as possible. The Toro Rosso is supposed to be good on that tire anyway.
I think its better go to Supersoft and then bring the hypersoft for a last stint fast with low fuel...
They may be thinking that as the car is out of position it is best to pass tail enders as soon as possible and be within 'striking distance' of the mid field by pit stop time. If they can make him a good gap to the last 4 cars by then he may eve get out of the pit just losing 1 or 2 places.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

Hartley was faster in all FPs. And In Q2 he was 0.3sec slower than his Q1 time
And qualy results are 3:3, so I cant get from where people get the impression that Gasly is faster in QUALIFICATIONS.
Usually Gasly had better race pace...
That is not true (even qualy 3:3) Gasley has qualified ahead of Hartley 4 times so the score is 4:2
Australia H=16 G=20
Bahrain G=5 H=11
China H=15 G=17
Uzbekistan G=17 H=20
Barcelona G=12 H=20
Monaco G=10 H=16

Wazari said he misunderstood the allocation. Instead of two for the team there were two per car. Please don't forget to thank the insider.
Always find the gap then use it.

Australia is not a true represantative I think. But at the end yes H was better P after qual.
And a correction. It was Azerbeijan not uzbekistan. :D

Hope he can have a clean start and clean race this time.
"The upgrade we have is a relatively small one in qualifying but where we really potentially made a step is for the race," said Hartley.

funny thing is hartley is a bad qualifier. if it was someone with experiene that car would be in q3. brendon has only few more opportunities before he is gone
