On the back of his signing as Williams' test and reserve driver, the team's technical chief, Paddy Lowe, underlined that Robert Kubica was particularly signed to make use of his experience and technical knowledge to help develop the FW41.
This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.

Could be a tactic but I already suspected they had gone in that direction. Seems like he really surprised/impressed Williams in Abu Dhabi to the point they couldn’t look past him and has solid Russian backing.

I dunno about Saward, he's pretty arrogant but does seem to have some paddock connections.
Hungarian Motorsport claims Kubica has singned a deal today. I'd say it's as reliable as Saward's tweet.
We'll know for sure when it's official - otherwise it's all rumors.
