Wow, those are used to make the rear stiffer. So it means the rear is realy twitchy.

Could this be something related with the rumor of vibrations? Perhaps they are trying to make the rear more rigid.

The cables to minimise flex of the rear are, compared to the other teams much more near the center line of the car. Maybe just a tad too much on the edge. easy fix.

These look like rear suspension pullrods used as a temporarily fastener to indeed make the diffusor more solid. Perhaps they want to test if that impacts the rear grip / diffusor effectiveness in real life conditions if they go for making it more solid.

Could they be used to "tune" the diffuser? What I mean is bend or flatten the profile of the diffuser. Although you would probably want paint on the rear to see what the air is doing.

They could have load sensors in them and just be trying to see what load they're getting in the outer part with the rear wing pushing down.

I thought that but I've had a good look at all the photo's and can't spot any sensor wires, they look just like a piece of ally bar with two rose joints slapped in either end. Maybe they're having some floor flutter/vibration and looking to see if stiffening it helps.

Have not seen a s-duct outlet spoiler like this before.

It was used on the RB-8. It is not an outlet, but an air-dam to make a smooth ramp of air infront of the cock-pit.

What? It very much is an outlet, it's as clear as day to see from the rear.
