That "race" shows why Monaco is such a pointless "race track".
visually still enjoyable, nice scenery, nice onboards, nice close.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

It felt artificial. There was no real contest. Hamilton was on wrong tire + stewards were extremely lenient with 5 sec penalty to Ves. It should have been at least drive through. So drama was not there at the 1st place. Hamilton complained too much :|

Should be made a best of 3 quali sessions. The race itself is just pointless with current regs.

How did Bottas lose the place to Vettel? I missed that.
Bottas pited a second time during safety car.

At least Max tried ... made it a bit of race. The other 2 muppets just cruised 78 laps for some free points ..
He was just stuck in traffic like everyone else, this place is a waste of tarmac, hate this race

I'm surprised this resulted in nothing, not even an investigation.

Blame Verstappen/RedBull and nobody else.
Blame Monaco with such a narrow pit.
It’s not new. It’s a known issue.

RedBull screwed up. Better to just accept it.
It’s funny people keep saying they screwed up. What were they going to do? If they didn’t release they would be behind Bottas and Vettel. It’s racing. They team gambled and released. I don’t blame anyone. There was a chance they took it, it didn’t work.

They might have been more lenient if VER hadn't made contact with BOT, there was space for 2 cars side by side at that point of the pit lane, but VER hit BOT, twice.

1 muppet had issues with cooling
Whatever the reason, it's calculated driving .. not racing. I know 'that's how you win championships' etc, but it's just no fun (al least not for me).
To me Ham & Max are about the only true racers, so for a Monaco GP this one was quite a good one.

nothing bad about the drive hamilton did, but this is why i dislike monaco, you can drive around doing 1.18.xxx but cant be overtaken ..... its just f*cked up, a bloody show parade for rich ppl that won't even have a flinch of understanding of what is F1 about...

and i would say the same if its concerned any other driver, driving behind #1

In the end it didn't really matter, if they would have halted he'd also have to wait for vettel, 4th in the end. Just such a shame that the rules work out like that, a team beats another in the pit lane and received a penalty. (I know, those are the rules) but a shame for VES nevertheless.

BOT had a puncture from the 2nd time VER crashed into him in the pit lane and so had to pit again.

Sorry but this conversation started someone blaming the stewards for daring to follow the rules by penalising Verstappen. It’s now progressed to blaming the width of the pit lane. If ANYONE is to blame it’s RedBull. It’s not the stewards or the pit lane that’s for certain.
