Ferrari was so desperate for the first win this season that they sacrificed Vettel (the driver with more points in the standings) early in the race - Lewis' tyres are now probably as bad as Leclerc's.

Bottas is useless. Had a 2 lap chance to get close to Hamilton when he lost time with vettel. When his engineer told him about it, it was already too late.

With all the telemetry and data he has at disposal this is just crap

Specially when he could see them with his very own eyes. No fighting spirit

Well done Charles. A well deserved win.

Sad how this is only his (and Ferraris) first win. so many opportunities wasted this year

Congrats to Charles, Lewis caught him in the end but would've struggled to get by immediately just like he did against Seb, good race all round

Super impressive how Charles withstood that pressure without a mistake, kept his pace, at his age and so soon in his career. Very fast, very cool.

I dare say if Vettel hadn't held up Lewis for a few laps he probably would have gotten Charles as well.

It will be interesting to see how Monza goes.

We will never know but I suspect Lewis would've struggled to get by like he did against Seb, would've been a fun duel though.

Swapping places and holding up Hamilton helped Charles with the win but to be fair any other team would have done the same.Great drive from Leclerc and Hamilton that Ferrari is just so fast in a straight line but so crap in the corners. They could get away with it this race and probably the next one as well.

Very true plus if Gio hadn't of crashed Ham would of be 5ths closer and possibly gone for a lunge at the chicane or one more lap extra Ham would of overtaken him.

Now, Vettel knows how Raikkonen felt :D

Vestappen was only good to ruin Rai's race. Sour loser, blaiming Rai at that situation lol..., couldn't handle an alfa passed him :D

Hamilton was really close, he could have won this with some luck.. An ok race. :D

Hamilton spent one too many laps behind Vettel :) (owing to his mistake at the bus stop whilst chasing him).

Nevertheless, this race was a worthy tribute to Hubert. Congratulations to Leclerc for his first ever win (and to Ferrari for making the right call for once).

Vettel not showing up for a race and Vestappen's first lap accident took away a lot of the complex nuance we could have seen. In the end a Mercedes 2-3 was the best result I think they could have hoped for. That Ferrari is mighty. Congratualtions to Leclerc on a win he's had coming. He is Ferrari's future. Gutting for Lando on the last lap but a fantastic drive from him. Albon was my DoTD.

More racing to come next week, so see all you guys soon. If Monza is not a Ferrari 1-2 this season will well and truly be a failure for them.
