i know some sources say, and i hope its that, because makes absolutely sense to exploit that path when you have a weak frontend, but im still not 100% convinced, since others use a lot more space for their solutions, im not sure if mclaren coud fit it in there, they ran similar solution last year, and yes there seem to be a change in material going from carbon to metal, we will se when there is better pictures, ill se if i can find the picture from last year. The suspension materials look very crude, I’m not sure that’s the finished article

I guess scarbs seems to forget this is a launch spec car Bargeboard are 2019 spec for a reason they will show there Bargeboard in Testing as Ivan says on Twitter

Can't understand why people think this is underdeveloped. In a year of stable regulations, in which the top teams have been imo conservative with their new designs, McLaren has dared to shift to another concept in their sidepod layout. It's not just about the tightness of the bodywork, the shape has changed and that means they are trying to manipulate the airflow differently this year.

2020 will be a very important season for McLaren. They have tried to take some risks this time and if it works out, the team will get a major confidence boost to experiment with unique designs for the upcoming years. McLaren used to do that all the time. Remember the F-Duct, the unique sidepods in 2011, the way they managed the airflow in 2012 and so many other great ideas. They are now slowly building up the confidence to be their former self again, and I really really hope that happens. I miss seeing McLaren on the top and it would be amazing to see them there now that the team is so much more energetic and fun compared to the Denis era.

Agree 100%... And the new technical team must get a change to proof themselves...

Based on 2019 I'm looking forward to a 2020 with similar developments...

Hello Pepe. Thank you. The feelings of the pilots in principle are good, but you cannot draw many conclusions yet, because, as you say, they are different tires and few kilometers allowed.
