McLaren MCL35

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Here the "old" FW have the new End Plate...

Clearly testing a variety of options...
Differences are subtle, but to me it looks like the new wing set to maximum downforce (which seems to go for the familiar "disconnect" between the adjustable flap and the part next to the endplate).

Might be just where the flow vis has thickened early from the exhaust heat.

deleted as it seemed to go away as the run went on, suggesting it was the application of it

No it doesn't.
I’d pay good money to know where some people get their ideas from, it’s certainly not from reading F1T forums or watch YouTube clips that’s for sure
Lots of this

So day 1 is over and we saw a new diffuser and a 'new' front wing. Bring it on day 2! I don't care about times just want to see new parts and a lot more laps.

what do you guys think about the new diffuser? To me it seems a very different concept compared to the previous.

The new diffuser seems more like the ferrari one, while the old one was more like the redbull one
