Too much email notification for the same thread

Post

Hi to all,
I've an issue with the email notification.
On every forum I follow when I select "Instant email notification" the forum is arranged so that to send me an email when something is added to the thread that I'm following and no other email until I go on the forum and read the thread.
That seems to be not the case here because only this night I've received (just as examples) a dozen messages from the W12 thread and another one from the bahrain GP.
It seems like it sends an email fro each new message without considering if meantime I went or not on the forum to read it.
Does it happens to you too?
If not is something misconfigured in my account?
I'm still learning English so please excuse me if my English is not good enough and feel free to correct me via PM if you want.

I still have this issue. Can someone of the staff help me, please?
Only this night I've received almost one hundred notification emails about the Portuguese GP.
It is very annoying!

You'd probably be better off contacting one of the staff directly.

El Scorchio, you're saying you have the same problem?

I have now subscribed to a few active topics to test it for myself, and will take a closer look tonight, and check what could be done.

Sorry for the delay!

Nope, don;t worry. Not at all! I don't have those notifications on. Just suggesting to Xwang he could maybe deactivate his in the meantime, if they were flooding his inbox.

Unsubscribe the thread or block the thread it's simple

I do not think that it is how it is supposed to work.
It is the only forum in the last 20 years that sends an email for each message added to a subscribed thread instead of sending only an email when the first unread message is added.
