Historic question, Roberto Moreno & John Barnard

Post

In the recent podcast Tom Clarkson & Roberto Moreno. Roberto spoke of John Barnard lobbying for Roberto to be given Alessandro Naninni's drive after his helicopter accident. It seems that Roberto had good relations with the engineers he had worked with, Ron Tauranac and Gary Anderson, but I find no reference to Roberto having worked professionally with John Barnard, yet John lobbied for Roberto to get the drive.

Can anybody shed more light on the relationship?

Thanks

Roberto Moreno was one of the test drivers of Ferrari, with regards to the development of the Semi-Automatic gearbox and behind the wheel paddles, so he was at Ferrari at the same time in which Barnard was there.

Here is a source in Portuguese, I think you can use google translate or other tool to translate it into english.
