It is not allowed. And if nasty enough, they get acted on, has happened many times. They are hard to see, though, unless reported.

The team might want to take a look at this then!

It might lessen it, but it will not go away. I've gotten down votes over the years, where the person who has done it has thrown in certain phrases to ensure I know who did it.

You have to agree with me that most downvoters are unrecognizable by their posts.
"Trolling", "Stupid", "Fanboism", "Off topic spam", etc. Often those DV are not justified at all.

You are new here and very sarcastic and annoying from the start! Stop that for once!

These fools got personal and took shots at me, unprovoked! And they tried to do me with the mods for quoting their personal shot at me in my signature. The mods sided with them and said im the antagoniser. I’m the one that’s wrong. ain’t that a b1tch.

I asked the mod to help remove those things but I got no support. The experience I had was, the antagonisers that run to the mods first, even if they set it off themselves, will get the support and remove your post but not the ones that started it.

I had one member go at me about my user name, calling me ‘luckyDynamic’ ain’t nobody say --- about his behaviour.

Why? Are you suggesting that people would stop voting through fear of retribution? Surely that's not a good thing. If posters are making "Trolling", "Stupid", "Fanboism", "Off topic spam" type posts, those down-votes are justified.

The better solution is to dispense with down votes, and the user ratings. Just have up-votes on valuable posts. That way, it's more about up-voting valuable content, and not about taking revenge.
