to me it looks like the rear element actually connects to the chassis a the bottom instead of the top of the nose, in line with the pull rod
It looks about as innovative as the others from what I can see.

McLaren is also the only one with a pullrod front suspension. James Key, ex RB.
It seems very unlikely to me that you could make a suspension with only one upper arm that wouldn't collapse under braking. Probably the rear element of the upper suspension arm is hiding behind the front one in this picture, which would give it some pretty extreme anti-dive geometry.
