Alfa Romeo C42

According to the FIA updates document, there is a new front wing this weekend. Haven’t seen any good pictures of it yet.

Moved to a more conventional design with the adjusters similarly designed and located to other teams

Honestly surprised they brought this update. Think Williams are the only other team that updated front wing significantly halfway through the season, and they basically changed their whole car so it was understandable.

Maybe testing their 2023 philosophy on the 22 car with this update?

Forget conventional, Alfa Romeo have invested in the cut endplate design first seen on W13. Surprising that they have, given that it seems to be banned for next season

That is, uhh, quite the difference if I do say so myself. Maybe they’re doing what McLaren did in 2020 by brining their 2023 wing early. Doesn’t completely explain the Merc style cutout but still.

Weird to see them do this so late in the year but they need something to kickstart them again; only a few points in the last few months.

Putting this here as the team is going to be Audi in 2026. The Audi show car has a painted floor. I'm not expecting th 2026 car to have this livery, but can't think of any other F1 car with a painted floor, for show or on a race car. On the livery side it would stand out, on the technical side it would maybe help CoG having the weight of the paint lower on the car? Most of the teams this year have cut back on the amount of paint on the car, a painted floor with a few bits of graphics on the main body like on the Audi seems a decent way of approaching the problem. Is there any rule not allowing a painted floor?

There's no point to painting the floor. This is solely marketing.
