Liam Lawson will be the Reserve Driver.

.
“Ricciardo will be our third driver,” Marko said. “We have so many sponsors, we have to do show runs and the like, so of course he‘s one of the most high profile and best suited.”

Marko added that Liam Lawson will be the team’s reserve driver, suggesting Ricciardo wouldn’t be in line to stand in for either Max Verstappen or Sergio Perez in the event one of them were unable to drive.

However, Liam is being lined up for a move to Japan to compete in the Super Formula series next year, which would leave him unavailable for reserve duties for at least three weekends due to direct clashes.

Red Bull add reserve driver role for Ricciardo at selected races in 2023

I wonder what the plan is in case Verstappen or Perez get Covid. In my mind its a no brainer to put Ricciardo in the car if he's available to see if he's still got it (in a Red Bull car). He also has recent experience.

Lawson surely has no real chance to race a Red Bull car this year? Surely they'd put an Alpha Tauri driver in the RB19 if need be.

I watched Lawsons entire FP session in Abu-Dhabi onboard on F1TV. Was reasonably impressed by his car control but he still is a total rookie operationally GP had to baby-sit him.

What is the difference between a "third driver" and "reserve driver"?

With all respect to Liam, surely if one of the main drivers is feeling unwell, then they would put Daniel in? Even with all the Mclaren baggage, I'd still want to have Daniel fill-in.

Buemi was (and is still) always their reserve driver, but he was never there during the GP weekends. No other reserve driver either.
As Liam lives in Japan most of the year, I don't assume he travels to the GP circuits in between. Then it is easier and faster
to call up Ricciardo, but of course I don't know how they think about this at RBR.

I'd love to know his full set up, what equipment he uses.

Someone who sells those kind of simulators said this one was very expensive, around 35 000 €.

Sebastian Montoya officially appointed as Red Bull Junior for 2023

Sebastian Montoya has officially confirmed on his Instagram account that he will go through life as a Red Bull Junior in 2023.
The son of Juan Pablo will be in action for the Hitech team in the coming season.

Montoya was already part of the Red Bull family in 2022 as an athlete sponsored by the energy drink brand. In 2023, however, he will go through life as part of the official Red Bull Junior Team. Needless to say, the Colombian is delighted with the opportunity at Red Bull.

New year, new kit. You and a friend could be on set to help us launch our 2023 Castore Team Kit alongside Max and Checo
in London on the 24th January 2023.
One lucky winner and a friend will be brought to London, where they’ll be treated to a hotel stay + travel to/from the shoot on the day.

I would imagine a lot of Oracle's clientele is based in NYC? Could be as part of the Oracle-RB partnership
