As @Blackout stated in the speculation thread, the sidepod inlet has a lower lip that juts out

Haas have not only copied ferrari's homework it seems but made it their own

Nose/fw main plane of vf-23 looks a lot like RB18

also it looks like for the side intakes they went with a mix of Redbull extended lower lip and a ferrari design
expecting most of the field to look like this

What is the gain in leaking air from one side to the other over the bulge/under sharkfin? I assume that works only while the car is cornering. A more extreme concept might be better in any case?
