Haas VF-23

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

So ice skate was never banned, or did teams just use a different intepretation to run it?
Was never banned, but if you use edge wing with 6 brackets (that's the limit) you can't use the skate at all (like RB). McLaren might be combining the two right now.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Last year Ferrari floor, I'd say. Double winglet on T-tray and stepped inlet of Venturi channels:

"GP Austin: Haas will have 'Red Bull style'
For the home Grand Prix the American team will introduce a new bodywork in this direction.
... a first step towards a deeper change in philosophy that will take place with next year's car .
The lower intrusion cone with a higher elevation above the bottom is the main obstacle in introducing a scooped undercut."

A lot of details very different from SF23 evo sidepods, no SIS bulge, no inwash geometry, comletely new inlets, seems like a waterslide is there also?
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

I’d hesitate to use the word ‘better’ but I would probably say this is what I would have expected of Ferrari when they went to the sloped sidepod shape. The original Haas sidepods from this year were more like the F1-75 and had a deeper dish than the original SF-23; maybe they had more packaging space for water slides.

With "better" I meant exactly what you say.
Anyway, even without the waterslide, the wall of the sidepods is more like every other team on the grid.
Only Ferrari has that mix of down/in wash geometry of the sidepods that doesn't convince me at all.

"The real big news this weekend is Haas bringing it to the track with a Redbull-style update package, freeing up more space in the area under the sidepods to increase the efficiency of the floor both above and below."
