I checked copse corner for ver, alo, lec and alb. Ver and lec are flat dropping speed from ~300 down to 285, alo small lift from 302 down to 282, albon also small lift but he's coming with higher speed around 305 so only drops down to 286 kmh.
Do you have anything similar for the mercs? They looked woeful out there, i dont think any other car looked as bad in medium to high speed corners, man it was like oversteer city. Maybe something they can fix though, question is, at the expense of what?

Didn't expect the track to suit Williams at all :? :D
Over 1 lap, they will be strong. it's the race pace that will be the issue.
But when has Williams been strong in high speed corners in the ground effect era? Usually at tracks like Spa, Silverstone they hemorrhage time in high-speed corners whilst being competitive in some slow corners and on the straights

Maybe Australia showed that this 2023 car in the right window can perform in higher speed, but I'm still surprised given how slippery they are.. was expecting them not to have a lot of downforce given how low drag they are.

Green track, new tire construction, new upgrades. They have a lot to dial in.

Fairly sizeable performance gap between the soft and the mediums.
The hards on the other hand didn't seem that much slower than the mediums.

The new tire construction didn't harm Red Bull.

Maybe they are getting better floor performance with the new front wing?

The drivers were complaining about little/no grip. Was that on all tires or just the white tires?
If it was on all tires then it must be the new tires from Pirelli.

Ham's best lap on mediums is pretty much the same as Lec and VER - flat at 300 kmh down to 286 kmh. So outright downforce doesn't seem a big problem for merc.

I would replace Mercedes with McLaren in that statement. Mercs are a lost cause for this season and next season to come.

Yes the team currently P2 in the WCC is a lost cause.
not to mention they were the only top team NOT to have used the softs at all... they will be much closer come saturday.

Could you check please whether ALO and STR top speeds were set on their qualy lap on the soft tyres?

Not a good start. LH turning up late for the media conference. Imagine it’ll just be a fine
