he's still behind in the points.
Yes he is. And lets Remember, renault didn't win last year because of luck, or a fluke, nobody else produced a car fast enough (or in Mclaren's case, reliable enough!) Just because nobody else did as good a job doesn;t deminish their achievements. Just like Ferrari in 2002, Mclaren in 1988.
End of the day you'd be a fool to discount Renault and Fernando from this championship. JUST LIKE you'd be a fool to discount schumi and Ferrari.
At the start of 2006 a lot of my friends said "Schumi won't even challenge for the title, the Ferrari isn't going to be fast enough, just look at last year's car!" and at Bahrain they seemed to be kind of right, the Ferrari wasn't quite fast enough, but it was by no means slow.
I told them not to discount Ferrari and its turned out to be true. Teams don't usually just suddenly loose the ability to win races. Its often a grandual decline.
Ferrari are still a force to be rekoned with, but so are Renault. It looks like we're going to have a tense fight to the wire.
Silence is golden when you don't know a good answer.
