Super F1

Post

Just to share with you guys this week a car magazine in Brazil have published a very nice subject.

They called up some of the best engenniers in Brazil and asked them to create a project of the ultimate F1 car with no limits.

What they came up with was this:

1 - engine - 6.0 V12 Bi-Turbo - 2400bhp (with push to pass 2600hp)
2 - chassis - carbon microtubes with a jet-like cockpit to give less drag with wing car desing (open wheels).
3 - wheigth - 400 Kg with driver and fuel
4 - drivetrain - 8 gears forward with 4wheel drive and 4 whell-steering and TC.
5 - tyres - 15" super light-wheight slick tyres with 2 inches more
6 - brakes - ABS - EBD - 8 piston carbon-titanium brakes
7 - aerodinamics - teardrop desing to get lees drag and eletronic ajusted wings
8 - suspension - eletronic suspension
9 - fuel - premium ethanol
10 - driver suit - jet-like suit to sustain high G-forces

They simulated this car in the computer and they managed to see that it was impossible to be driven because it would kill the driver in a fast turn when it could reach up to 9 Gs!!!!!!

The top speed they managed was around 550KPH
0 - 100 - 1,2 sec.
0 - 200 - 4,3 sec.
0 - 300 - 8,7 sec.
0 - 400 - 15,0 sec.

Imagine this !!!!!!!

Well they said that this is just for fun that it will never be done.

Some of that is factible to build (not to race, I know) but I don´t think you could build a 6 litres bi-turbo V12 in a 280kg car (driver + fuel = 120kg)

To cope with 9Gs every part of the car (like susp. arms) should be stronger that they are nowadays.

I know its a simulation to have fun and use imagination, but there are some wrong things in the calculations

Hey, if you ever build one of those cars, I worked on ejection seats and I'll gladly work on that car for ya! Plus, the further back you can lean the occupant, the less detrimental effect on the person during ejection. Or, fast racecar=perfect for an ejection seat!

Hey Belatti but the funniest part is the drwaing... I'll try to scan it and place here...

They draw a car that is just like a RC Toy Car... It's looks like this but with 4 wheels and wider...

Think of the massive thrust.
Racing should be decided on the track, not the court room.
