Electro-magnetic wake structures in F1

Has there been any studies concerning this with F1 cars?

If the cars have to discharge in the pits, that means that they have a charge of some sort.

I also remember watching a "Top Gear" episode where Tiff was driving a WilliamsBMW, and the woman was driving the M5, and when the F1 car passed the M5, the cameras blinked out.

So, does anyone have any info concerning electromagnetic wake structures on an F1 track?

Not electro magnetic but static...I wonder how much static energy is created and if it can be harnessed?

Well, I just figured that there would be some kind of wake structure considering the speed that these cars travel.

Static, or magnetic (electro), or whatever energy these machines shed that causes electrical equipment to blink out is what I am interested in.

I am not talking about ionized wings, but more of the side effects of the technology.

I don't know, it's hard to blame electromagnetic transients on externally produced electricity. You have to think that cars are Faraday cages. Was the camera outside the car?

The camera onboard the F1 car was fine (probably shielded), but the one that was inside the M5 wasn't, and it blinked out when the F1 car passed.

After re-watching this again, I cannot find the part that I remember...

Maybe I am crossing this up with something else...
