considering that bridgestone does lag behind so much in qualifying performance and ferrari has done comfortably well in qualifying this season i think it speaks clearly of where williams is. Can't say much about mclaren for kimi is rarely allowed to put a qualifying lap in the first place :(

given all this i see no other way than putting weights on ferrari to slow it .. as pathetic and unsporting it may be!!!

Ferrari package....but it's true that he pulled the team to work in a way that made Ferrari what it is today.......but at the moment Ferrari is only depending on itself!

Barrichello is not in control of the F2004 but his car is good enough to smoke anybody else on the track. Schumacher is that good, but when u have a clearly superior car, its a GIVEN to be winning all the time.

Don't forget that the Ferrari is designed essencially for Schummy, who like a over-steering car, while Rubens prefers a neutral-to-under-steering car.

Definitely Ferrari's package. They continued "developed" their prdecessor car and now have the advantage of knowing the characteristics of their car better.

i understand why you think ferrari's package is so great... well rubens is doing second best... but you have to admit that michael's been at least a second better than rubens all year while last year rubens had three poles compared to schumacher's 5 and at least in qualifying mathced schumi's pace. The way I see it Michael's was always great under braking and is now pushing the car a bit more than last year, i mean if michael weren't in the races this year i am sure rubens would not have highest points till now as would many drivers in the grid in his position.

Micheal is part of the ferarri package, the whole team revolves around him. If he hadn't gone to ferarri they still wouldnt have won a championship.

Schumacher and Rossi have similar traits. A large part of their sucess is dependent on their team. That's not to say that both men aren't quick in the first place.

I got to tip the hat to Michael Schumacher.

The ferrari car is not THAT much superior to all other, especially when compared to competition from BAR this year. I bet you if Schumacher found himself at BAR Honda, he could win races easily as well.

It would be great fun to see what he can do in cars from Minardi or Jordan. :D

If he was in that, he'd probably say that Autosport quote in the other forum: "It doesn't matter that they won, because it was a Ferrari"

i think the amount of dollars ferrari have invested in their team (testing, staff etc) is what has ultimately made them winners.

its obvious where mclaren invested their funds in the early part of 2004 and well frankie, well he's never really been a big spender, (he'd try to get a few extra horsepower from a drivers flatulence if he could).

ferrari are like gamblers walking into a casino with unlimited credit. SLAP SLAP SLAP....and when they go fishing and dont come home with the fish, they buy it.

its not about the package or the driver......its about the mighty dollar......that all f1 is about these days and thats what is leading to its demise and ferrari are leading the divers and destructors chimpionship.

Ferrai. Micheal is fantastically fast. But nobody can do what he has done without a strong team behind them. 2003 Rubens was on Michaels heels the whole time and performed better at the final few races (Bar US GP where he retired due to no fault of his own). This is because the car wasn't quite to MS liking yet it wos exactly what RB wanted. Michael is very very very fast, but he isnt the best ever...the stats would suggest he is but that is due to the fact he has a great Team behind him. Schumi himself never forgets to praise them. He knows how good they all are. Ferrai are known as "The Scuderia" (Official name is Scuderia Ferrari Malboro) Scuderia is italian for "Team" and there isnt a better team out there than Ferrari right now. To call them THE Scuderia is spot on.
