With no refueling next year what are everyone's ideas on how teams and engineers will cope?
Teams will want to run engines as lean as they possibly can but without overheating etc etc.
Power implications with different AFR (air fuel ratio). Higher AFR, more power, more heat more prone to ping. Lower AFR less power, less heat less prone to ping and more safe.
I think that cooling will play a huge role next year as teams will be able to should they need to, lean out their engine past an acceptable norm to eek a few extra kilometers out of their fuel.
With the engines frozen for the most part, cooling will be the major area to exploit.
I think that the Ferrari engine which for example has shown to be hungrier than some may be because it runs more rich than others to keep combustion temps and in turn engine temps in check.
