Williams renews association with MAN Truck

Post

It is interesting to see Williams teeming up with a VW company. VW control only 30% of MAN but they are expected to increase that share holding significantly in the near future in order to merge MAN with Scania.

They were already teamed up with MAN trucks. However, I'm intrigued. Interesting in what respect?

They may be getting themselves in position for a VW engine in 2012 if that happens to be in the market.

Or they could be secretly developing energy recovery systems and toroidal cvt gearboxes for road cars and commercial use.

Williams have been busy.
At least this is a start with the two front wheel generator/motors.
The Williams flywheel storage device is useful as well, decreases the charge and discharge time. Still only 8 seconds though, long way to go.
I see they have forgotten the inefficient toroidal CVT, at least that was a good move.
