I have something that has been bothering me for ages, and hope someone here can help put my mind at rest.
Time was, when an F1 pole-sitter was and did get to choose from which side of the grid to start the race. Thing is, some time ago- do not remember when, nor who was responsible for its demise- this practice was ended.
My question is, can anyone here tell me when an F1 pole-sitter lost the right to make the choice from which side of the grid to start the race, in what year, and who made the decision to discontinue the practice?
