Is it right that the new cars will be designed and build in Germany? On RTL they said something about it.
If someone knows some details please send me a pm. Thanks.

I would see this as highly speculative. Obviously Kolles has an existing organization that can be used to run cars out of Germany. Dallara should still be the design and development source. Assembly must be a capability of the team at least as far as final race venue assembly is concerned. So the team must be able to do that in Germany.ESPImperium wrote:Cars are designed and built by, with support from Dallara. However the cars are maintained by HRT nee; Campos.
It wouldnt surprise me to see the cars to be maintained in a Kolles facility in Germany.
The way the origional deal with Campos was structured was that Dalarra would design and build the first 2 chassis (that were rumored to be known as the name C210) for a cost of $8million and then for every chassis after that Dalarra Campos would pay $600,000, with every update package costing from $150,000 per car.
The Campos buisness model was to build a team arround a "kit car" model where the car would run as stock pretty much thu the season, maybes have the cars updated once mid season. They were going to run the Cosworth engine and XTrac gearbox and hydrolic system for the first 2 years, then the rumor was to switch to Ferarri power and gearbox.
I think that Colin Kolles and Dalarra are going to run and develop the car together, as i think this could be the way into F1 for VW, with Audi in 2013 when the new engines come into place.
Kolles runs the team as Kolles-Audi, the car is designed. built and developed by Dalarra, Audi will provide the power and gearbox for the team. This way Audi will also be able to provide power to one other team as well, as i would personally like to see no more than 2 teams supplied with identical power plants, as long as we keep to 24 cars on the grid.
But thats just my personal long term view for the sport, and this team.
I aggree, with what you have said about assembly and such, but thats why i added the line at the bottom. Its my personal stance on the matter. So i am being speculitive in it.WhiteBlue wrote:I would see this as highly speculative. Obviously Kolles has an existing organization that can be used to run cars out of Germany.
