Merc is consistently changing the rear wing of Nico's and Michael's car. They seem to be testing different versions of the auto F-duct.

The last rear wing setup of Nico was the best of the Mercs so far. They are now fitting a new one to Michael's car.

The last time it rained was exactly a week ago, last friday (around this time).

The weather's been fabulous all week... Even the nights were warm. I doubt it'll rain. And even it does, I'm pretty much sure it'll be very little or dry up quickly.

Poor Webber had an engine blow and backed into a rather steep safety exit. The marshals did not understand that he needed a brake shoe. F1 cars have no hand brake. The Turks obviously do not understand English. They eventually blocked his front wheel with a fire extinguisher after three minutes of debate. Webber had to stop them spraying extinguisher foam all over the car.

Disappointed by the lack of updates and consequently, of progress...

McLarens are very slow through T8.

No, this was Friday practise. They can use whatever old engines they have on the shelf.

that looked more gearbox related than engine. Isnt a gearbox swap 10 positions?

it is 5 positions, but same as for engine they can swap it, an gear box has to run 4 races, i dont believe it is regulated to be in a row

This is FP, remember. RBR are sandbagging big time. Usually, they are 1 second slower in FPs than in Q, meaning the pole this year will likely be sub 1:27 (assuming they break through 1:27s in FP3). McLaren does not seem to have that kind of pace.

Really surprised at the lack of Ferraris and McLaren in T8 Apex Top Speeds...

all that matters is ... when the lap is over who is faster... just being faster in T8 does not help... and we all know rb's have more downforce
