I think the new rules are far better. I cant see how anyone gets excited about seeing a pass due to a longer stint and quick out/in laps. Now they have to pass on track (if they do/dont or can get close enough is a whole other story!)
I didnt want to bring back refueling??? Never said that.
But what id like to see is a limit on fuel, with each car being weighed as they go out onto track on their lap to the grid. Make the weight 850KG say, and watch them go full bore, to what their engine can take. It will also make designers design less draggy cars, as the one that is the most slippery thru the air with the most efficent engine and Limited KERS would win the race. Reducing the weight by 10 kilos per year for 5 years and bring it down to say 800 KG for the maximum weight.
Id also allow the cars to run fuel as ballast as well, as long as they met the minimum weight of 650 kilos at the end of the race is another thing id be in favour of, altho that raises risks of another sort.
Never mind theese F-Ducts as well, antho KERS id limit to unlimited usage for no more than 10 times a race, but also limit the ammount of energy allowed as well. Make it the same ammount as what Le Mans will be for 2011 and allow KERS usage for the entire length of the pit lane, with out fuel???
